  • Be Kind… and Go M.A.D.

Lisa leads the “Make A Difference and Make Life Great Campaign” and provided us an update and invitation to participate in her M.A.D. Program. It just goes to show that the best way to make a difference, is to simply be kind to one another.

Want to find our more about the Make A Difference Program? Click here for details. Together we can “Make A Difference and Make Life Great” for ourselves and most importantly, for those around us. While I have been working with the 250 sixth grade students at the school where I teach, I want everyone to be able to participate in this program. One important aspect of our school program is being kind to others. The students have been challenged to celebrate random acts of kindness that they do by filling out a paper strip and adding it to our “kindness chain.” The students are rewarded for their efforts with pats on the back and with candy.

How can you participate? It is my belief that everyone can “Make A Difference and Make Life Great” by choosing to build others up rather than tearing them down. We can choose to be bitter or to grow and become better when things don’t go our way in life. Donny Osmond’s autobiography is called “Life is Just What You Make It,” and I believe that we should try to “Make Life Great.” It all boils down to our attitudes and our actions. I want to challenge each of you to do whatever you can to make your own life as fulfilling as possible and to make the lives of those around you a little better by completing random acts of kindness. Look around and I am sure you will find many opportunities for doing this everyday. When you complete an act of kindness, log into our new Facebook group “Make A Difference; Make Life Great” and let everyone know what you did. You may inspire others to be kind in ways they have not ever considered. Just as I reward my students with candy for their acts of kindness, I will reward randomly selected Donny fans with a beautiful 8X10 glossy photograph of him that I took at the Hoover Dam last August. I will select one fan every two weeks to receive these photos. So, head out into the world and do whatever it takes to “Make Life Great.”
