  • Lotsa Helping Hands Going M.A.D.

We’re still stuck in this cold wintery season, but The Seasons Of Love is just getting warmer. It’s fun to watch people go M.A.D. at the start of a new year with new resolutions.

Want to find our more about the Make A Difference Program? Click here for details. Happy New Year!

The Season of Love Project is still moving forward. Our main web tool used to help families plan and coordinate is lotsahelpinghands.com. They have started giving monthly webinars for demonstrations and faq’s. This is a free, secure, and very user friendly website designed to facilitate the process of caregiving for a wide variety of situations. When a family is faced with a medical crisis, it’s extremely helpful to determine a main coordinator for meals, errands, or other help. This takes the stress and pressure of the immediate family in need of assistance. When family friends ask “What can I do to help?”, they can be referred to that main coordinator to be plugged in to the lotsahelpinghands.com calendar of tasks, meals, childcare, or home care.

The challenge for me now is connecting this service with the families who need it. I’ve been consulting with a nurse navigator at our local major hospital (Hoag) and the volunteer coordinator for our local chapter of the Susan G. Komen foundation. I’ve been able to assist a few families through personal referrals already. One step at a time we are making a difference. I want to encourage you to check out lotsahelpinghands.com and consider how YOU could use it to make a difference for a family in need.

    Blessings to you! :)
