Want to find our more about the Make A Difference Program? Click here for details. Hi Donny,
As a teacher I have always believed that children are our greatest resource and that if we can harness the enthusiasm and excitement children feel into good causes we can truly Make a Difference. So although the target of my project is to help Philippino schools I wanted to work with my local community along the way. I have been visiting local schools and Churches, giving talks on our project and encouraging them to get involved. The children have donated large numbers of items for our pencil case project and have then given their time to pack them. I’ve been touched by their enthusiasm and eagerness to give. We shipped 600 pencilcases collected by these children to Manilla in January. They should arrive any day now.
My next event is to visit Osmania on 19th February. I’m really grateful to the Karens for inviting me to their annual fundraising and fun event. I’ll be giving a short presentation but most of all I will have my collection box! So if you are attending we would be grateful for any pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, erasers, colouring pencils or pencilcases! I know you girls are amazing. Please help us help the children.
