My Beliefs
“As I’ve traveled all over the world, the fact that I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has caused a lot of interesting questions. I’ve received so many letters and e-mails asking things like, What are the basic beliefs of Latter-Day Saints?”
My Testimony
…Some want to know how Debbie and I have been able to maintain a strong marriage — over all these years — while living in the world of show business. Others want to know how we dealt with the challenges of raising a close and happy family in such difficult times.
How do we maintain a balance between work, and family life? Well, you know it’s not always easy, but the following pages are my attempt to explain a way of life that helps answer these kinds of questions. It gives me stability in a world, and in a business, that can be uncertain, compromising, and stressful. It’s the pattern that gives me direction in my life. And, I hope that this information will help answer some of your questions.

Abortion
If you had an abortion before joining the church, then joined years later, are you still eligible for life in the highest level of the celestial kingdom if you are faithful and endure to the end keeping your temple covenants?- Betty
If you are LDS, this is a discussion you need to have with the bishop of the ward where you live.I am given to understand that the policy of the Church is, of course, that abortion is a very serious matter and is strictly prohibited except in the case of rape, incest, danger to the life of the mother or if the yet to be born child is certified by a licensed doctor to be dead or otherwise in a condition worthy of ending pregnancy. I am confident that through faith, repentance, baptism and the sanctification of the Holy Ghost, one is truly eligible for the full benefit of Christ’s atoning sacrifice and will be eligible for all of the blessing that our Heavenly has to offer.I hope this helps.- Donny Osmond
