The Airie Crown Theater

October 20, 1972 Chicago

  1. I was ten years old and my mom took my sisters and me to the concert. We were so excited, but when we got there we were told there were no seats available as there was a fundraiser for President Nixon and the majority of seats were filled by contributors. We were devastated and actually ended up being interview by our local newspaper. We all begged and begged the users to let us in. They finally agreed so we ended up sitting on the stairs watching the performance (even our mom sat on the stairs). It turned out to be a great evening. We got to see our favorite group again, and we were featured in our local paper!I still love pulling up old “you tube” videos of your concerts! Brings back so many great memories!
